Margie Hatfield Scholarship

Posted by: admin | Comments Comments Off

The East Cobb County Council PTA created the Margie Hatfield Scholarship Fund in order to honor the dedication and years of service given by Mrs. Hatfield to the youth of our Council PTA.  She is a Past President of our organization who served three consecutive terms.  It is with this service in mind that the Council PTA sponsors the scholarship program.  This fund is to help deserving youth in their quest for higher knowledge.  A great emphasis will be placed on the service records and citizenship of the winning applicants, as this embodies the philosophy of the PTA.  The Margie Hatfield Scholarship Fund will award six (6) separate $1,000 scholarships; one student from each of the ECCC PTA high schools will be chosen.

Please contact ECCC PTA Scholarship Chairs, Yvonne Single, 770-587-5791, heeby@bellsouth.net , or Cindy Brown, 770-984-9015 cindyfbrown@gmail.com if you have any questions.

It's Friday again….can you believe how quickly time is flying by? We can't.

We hope things are settling in at each of your schools. We met with Superintendent Sanderson with all the other Council Presidents this past week. The transportation dept. had eliminated 100 buses but they are in process of bringing some of those back to resolve some of the "problem areas". They appreciate everyone's patience. Pinnacle will be up and running next week for everyone to go online and check their individual Middle/High School student's progress.
